Winton will celebrate 150 years of settlement in 2025.  This milestone year of reflection will acknowledge the region’s rich history of growth, perseverance, and success.

The celebrations will kick off on the weekend of Friday 11 April – Sunday 13 April 2025, with a three-day program that includes a Morning Tea, Family Reunion Dinner, Grand Parade, a “Crafts and Trades from the Past” display, Vintage style Handmade Markets, Gala Ball, Old Fashioned Novelty Sports Day, Music, Historical Displays, Tours of the Region, Movies from the past, Fireworks and a Drone Sky Show.

Memories will be shared about the history of the town, its fore founders and characters, life on a station, the Banjo Paterson story, the birthplace of QANTAS, opal mining and the recent discovery of dinosaurs!
